Mysuru: The two-day state-level intercollegiate fest, Daksha Dvithi 2025: Season-2, hosted by Daksha College, was inaugurated by Prof N Nagaraja, registrar (evaluation), University of Mysore. Speaking after inaugurating the event, Nagaraja emphasised that in today's fast-paced world, competitions are not just beneficial but essential for students' knowledge and overall growth.
D Anand of the University of Mysore said that not everyone can win, but competitions provide ample opportunities to learn from the winners, making participation itself a valuable experience. Such a mindset leads to success in life, he added.
Jayachandra Raju P, chairman of Daksha College and Global Education Trust, said participation in co-curricular activities is the stepping stone in the journey to success, as these activities enable students to exhibit their strengths, identify their weaknesses, and enhance their confidence levels.
More than 600 students from over 50 colleges across Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, and Chamarajanagar, participated in the competitions in 15 different categories spread over two days. In the overall competition, Seshadripuram College, Mysuru, emerged as the champion. The runner-up position was jointly secured by MYCA and Sapient College, Mysuru.
Sonia Umapathi, secretary, Harish P, director of higher education, and Mahesha MB, principal, were also present.
