Criminal murdered at Jatni, 2 detained

Bhubaneswar: A 40-year-old man was allegedly murdered at Jatni on the outskirts of the city in the early hours of Friday. The deceased was identified as Manas Dalei, who belonged to Bada Nuagaon village.
"We have identified four accused involved in the murder. Two of them have been detained. Raids are underway to arrest others. The motive behind the crime is being ascertained," DCP Jagmohan Meena said.
Dalei's body was found near a school in Sandhapur area on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. The DCP said the deceased was involved in multiple criminal activities, including assault and criminal intimidation.
Initial investigation revealed that Dalei had several disputes with the accused gang over territorial dominance in the area. They were indulged in a scuffle during a festival recently.TNN
