In a surprising turn of events that has captivated social media users across India, a video of a crow mimicking human speech has gone viral. The bird, reportedly rescued and raised by a woman in the village of Wada Taluk, can be heard repeatedly saying “Papa, Papa” in a clip that has taken platforms like Instagram, X, and LinkedIn by storm.

The crow’s uncanny vocal ability has left netizens amazed, with many questioning the authenticity of the footage. The bird’s backstory, however, is as touching as it is fascinating.

According to the video’s caption, Tanuja Mukne, a resident of Wada Taluk in Palghar district, discovered the injured crow in her garden three years ago. After nursing it back to health over a span of fifteen days, she brought the crow into her home. Over time, the bird became part of the family—and began astonishing everyone with its human-like speech.

The crow, now something of a local celebrity, doesn’t stop at “Papa.” According to BBC Marathi, which also shared the video on YouTube, the bird can also mimic words like “Kaka,” “Baba,” and “Mummy.”

Social media reactions have been a blend of disbelief, humor, and fascination. One user joked, “This crow is ready for JEE coaching now!” while another asked, “Is this AI or a real crow?”

While animal experts note that crows are highly intelligent and capable of mimicking sounds if socialized or trained, this particular video has sparked a wave of curiosity and admiration online.
