The former Managing Director (MD) of the Andhra Pradesh State Beverages Corporation Limited (APSBCL), Donthireddy Vasudeva Reddy, is relieved from the services of the State government, according to highly placed sources.

He is one of the prime accused persons allegedly in a major liquor scam in Andhra Pradesh between 2019 and 2024, during the tenure of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (APCID) registered a case against Mr. Vasudeva Reddy, in connection with the alleged liquor scam and conducted an inquiry into it.

Sources in Secretariat confirmed that as the accused revealed all the information during the course of investigation and cooperated with the investigation agency, the State government decided to relieve the IRTS officer to go to report in his parent department, Indian Railways.
