Madhubani DM reviews devpt, welfare schemes
Madhubani: District magistrate (DM) Arvind Kumar Verma reviewed several development and welfare schemes being implemented by the animal husbandry and fisheries department in a meeting held at the Collectorate on Thursday.
In the meeting, officials presented progress reports on the ongoing schemes and discussed various aspects in detail. The DM directed the officials concerned to intensify awareness campaigns to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the maximum number of beneficiaries. Considering the rising heat, the DM instructed the district animal husbandry officer to raise awareness about livestock care among farmers.
Additionally, in view of recent fire incidents, he stressed on running awareness campaigns to prevent such occurrences. He stressed the need for concrete steps to provide govt subsidies and technical assistance to livestock and fish farmers.
The DM said that effective implementation of these schemes would further promote animal husbandry and fisheries in the district, thereby strengthening the rural economy. The meeting was attended by deputy development commissioner (DDC) Deepesh Kumar, district animal husbandry officer Rajesh Kumar, and other officials.
