Yogi Adityanath will reach city on Thursday afternoon to review preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi in second week of this month.
Accompanied by officials, divisional commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma reached Mehandiganj area on city outskirts to inspect site of the proposed public meeting of the PM. Sharma inspected the proposed venue and discussed the plan for public meeting dais, helipad, vehicle parking, entrance and German hangar arrangements, before providing guidelines.
During his visit, PM is expected to gift several projects to the city and inauguration ready projects while laying foundation of various new ones during the public meeting in Mehandiganj located close to the Ring Road, said officials.
During inspection, the commissioner also discussed plans for crowd and traffic management and gave directions for strong barricading. Proper cleaning arrangements at the venue and surrounding areas were directed, along with removal of posters and painting on walls and pillars at the underpass.
ADM Administration Vipin Kumar, SDM Rajatalab Shivani Singh and officials from Public Works and Police Departments were present.
