Panchkula: A special enrolment campaign launched in govt schools under the cluster of Government Senior Secondary School in Basola village, has yielded impressive results, with a significant increase in the number of students.
Principal Simmi Bansal said that following the instructions of district education officer Satpal Kaushik and district elementary education officer Sandhya Chikara, significant efforts were made to increase the enrolment in all government schools within the Basola cluster.
As part of the campaign, principal Bansal, along with her team, visited several villages to encourage people to enrol their children in govt schools. The govt now provides free education, uniforms, books, and meals in all govt schools, and only qualified teachers with higher education are teaching the children.
As part of the enrolment campaign, they visited the brick kiln in Basola and conducted a survey, filling out enrolment forms for about 15 children. The principal and the teachers explained the importance of education to both the children and their parents, motivating them to send their children to school.
Bansal appealed to parents, saying, "The future of your children, which currently seems dark, will shine brightly with education." She assured them that their children's enrolment would be done offline for now.
Bansal also said she visited homes in the village of Dhamala to encourage children to attend govt schools instead of private ones. Also, under her guidance, a team of teachers, including Jitendra and Amit, went door-to-door in villages like Lohgarh, Jata Majri, Garida, Khera, and Vasudevpura, conducting the enrolment festival campaign.
