Share prices of Zomato Ltd., Titan Company Ltd., IndusInd Bank Ltd., Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., and Tech Mahindra Ltd. emerged as the top gainers on Wednesday.

Among the laggards were shares of Nestle India Ltd., Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., UltraTech Cement Ltd., Bajaj Finserv Ltd., and Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T).

The BSE Sensex staged a strong recovery amid positive sentiment following a reassessment of potential US tariff impacts. The BSE Sensex ended 0.78 per cent or 592.93 points higher at 76,617.44, while the NSE Nifty gained 0.72 per cent or 166.65 points to close at 23,332.35.

Top Gainers

Zomato led the advances, surging 4.92 per cent to ₹212.00, continuing its strong momentum in recent sessions. Titan Company shares showed robust growth, rising 3.77 per cent to ₹3,099.05.

IndusInd Bank gained 2.88 per cent to close at ₹702.40, while Maruti Suzuki added 2.09 per cent to finish at ₹11,715.05. Tech Mahindra completed the top five with a 2.04 per cent gain, ending at ₹1,422.70.

Top Losers

Nestle India was the biggest loser, dropping 1.36 per cent to ₹2,201.85 amid profit-booking. Power Grid declined 0.88 per cent to ₹286.70.

UltraTech Cement fell 0.88 per cent to ₹11,276.35, while Bajaj Finserv slipped 0.68 per cent to ₹1,923.25. L&T closed 0.41 per cent lower at ₹3,421.65.

The day’s gains were primarily driven by realty stocks, with the sector rallying over 3.35 per cent amid growing expectations of an interest rate cut in the upcoming RBI monetary policy meeting next week. The market opened flat, but gained momentum throughout the day, with buying interest seen across most sectors.
