Mangaluru: Janan Mithadka, a class VIII student from Swaroopa Adhyayana Kendra, Sullia, entered the India Book of Records as the youngest to depict all Bhagavad Gita shlokas on an image of the Sudarshan Chakra.
Each Sanskrit letter of the 700 shlokas was converted to a corresponding number based on the Swaroopa numerical language system and depicted on an image of the Sudarshan Chakra. At the age of 13, he codified all 700 shlokas of the Bhagavad Gita using 84,246 numbers. His achievement was certified on Nov 5, 2024.
Janan told the media that he meticulously crafted his record attempt on a 4x3 ft chart paper. His approach reflects the unique learning techniques of Swaroopa Adhyayana Kendra, where he follows a pictorial method to study SSLC lessons despite being a Class VIII student. Janan said that his aim is to create at least 25 world records.
Gopadkar, director of Swaroopa Adhyayana Kendra, said Janan can recite the names of all 780 districts of India while simultaneously juggling three balls. Further, Janan depicted the lessons of all six SSLC subjects through drawings on his dress, which he plans to present for a world record. He joined Swaroopa about a year ago. After completing the syllabus, he utilised his spare time to pursue record-setting achievements. The Swaroopa Education System aims to identify and nurture 10 unique talents in each child, encouraging them to excel in various fields, he said.
His parents, Vasantha Mittadka and Bhavani, Sanskrit teacher Shivalinga, and Swaroopa student Prasanna Shivamogga were present.
