35-yr-old man attacked over personal enmity

T'puram: A 35-year-old man was critically injured after he was hacked with a machete by a daily wage worker at Mannanthala on Sunday over a personal enmity.
Aneesh BJ of Muttada, is undergoing treatment at MCH with grievous head injuries.
Pananga Rajesh, 38, was arrested by police in connection with the case registered under BNS Sections 109 for attempt to murder, 351 (2) for criminal intimidation and 296 (b) for abusing.
Police said Aneesh and Rajesh were daily wage workers and there was a clash between them ten years ago. Aneesh had registered a case against him over that incident, which is currently under trial.
"The case was turning in favour of Aneesh and Rajesh wanted him to quash the case. However, Aneesh was not willing to withdraw the case and the attack was a fallout of this," said police. TNN
