T'puram: State govt undertaking Keltron recorded a revenue of Rs 1,056.94 crore in 2024-25, marking the highest revenue in the company's history, industries minister P Rajeeve said. He added that Keltron Group saw a 50% increase in revenue compared to the previous fiscal and currently has orders worth Rs 1,400 crore.
"When the second Pinarayi Vijayan govt took office in 2021-22, the revenue was Rs 521.71 crore, which now has surpassed Rs 1,000 crore. The record revenue of Rs 643 crore achieved in the 2023-24 financial year was exceeded. Timely business decisions, along with financial support from the state govt through plan funds and the budget, paved the way for this achievement," he added.
The recognition of Keltron as a total solution provider in several projects and the collective efforts of employees to boost the company's returns also contributed to this success, the minister added.
The revenue growth was reflected in the production of goods for the defence electronics sector, operations in IT-related business services, smart classroom installations, control and instrumentation, traffic enforcement systems, power electronics equipment for nuclear power plants, Smart City projects, security surveillance projects, medical electronics products, high and medium mast light projects, and electronics systems for Isro, among other areas.
Including its subsidiary companies, KCCL in Kannur (Rs 104.85 crore) and KECL in Malappuram (Rs 38.07 crore), the Keltron Group achieved a revenue of Rs 1,199.86 crore and improved operational profit during this period, Rajeeve said.
According to the master plan submitted by Keltron to the industries department, plans were formulated to grow Keltron into a company with a revenue of Rs 1,000 crore by 2026 and Rs 2,000 crore by 2030. Rajeeve expressed hope that revenue exceeding Rs 1,000 crore would be achieved in the 2025-26 financial year as well.
