POSH Act awareness: training programme for film industry on April 3

The Women and Child Development (WCD) department will organise a training programme in association with Gender Park to create awareness of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act), 2013 (POSH Act) among those working in the cinema field.

The training is being organised as part of government efforts through the WCD department to bring the film industry within the purview of of the POSH Act. In the first phase, training will be organised for 60 people from various departments in the film industry.

Minister for Women and Child Development Veena George will inaugurate the training programme at Mascot Hotel at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan will preside. People from the film industry will attend.
