40-year-old found stabbed to death

Rajkot: The body of a 40-year-old man was found, bearing brutal stab wounds, at Sarambhda village in Amreli district.
The assailant inflicted severe wounds on the head, face, chest and other parts of the body of the victim, Ramesh Hariyani, with a bladed weapon. The killing occurred sometime between March 29 and March 30.
Amreli (rural) police launched an investigation based on a complaint lodged by Hariyani's nephew, Anil, a lawyer.
On March 30, Anil happened to meet village sarpanch Vinu Dudhath, who told him Hariyani was lying near the house of one Sharad Kachadiya. On reaching there, Anil saw his uncle on the ground, covered with a blanket.
Anil told police that Hariyani used to live alone in an abandoned panchayat office in the village after his divorce. His two sons stayed with Anil, and Hariyani occasionally visited them.
