Hong Kong's Daphne International sees 23% YoY revenue surge in 2024

Hong Kong-based footwear retailer Daphne International Holdings has reported a 23 per cent year-over-year (YoY) revenue increase to RMB 322.3 million (~$45.1 million) for the period ended December 31, 2024. The gross profit of the company reached RMB 162.6 million (~22.6 million), and earnings per share (EPS) stood at RMB 0.054.

The profit attributable to shareholders surged by 71 per cent to around RMB 106.6 million (~14.8 million), with cash and cash equivalents at roughly RMB 476.2 million.

The operating profit of the company stood at approximately RMB 96.6 million, an increase of RMB 29.0 million or 43 per cent YoY. The selling and distribution expenses increased to RMB 51.9 million, while general and administrative expenses rose to RMB 67.0 million. After accounting for finance costs of RMB 0.36 million and a share of profit from associates and a joint venture, profit before tax of the company reached RMB 96.3 million, Daphne said in a press release.

The company reported a tax credit of RMB 9.7 million, resulting in a net profit of RMB 106.1 million (~$14.8 million), up from RMB 62.9 million in 2023.

Looking ahead to 2025, the group holds a conservative yet optimistic view of the domestic economic outlook for 2025 despite these external pressures, such as the global landscape is poised for accelerated change, with tariffs and trade uncertainties presenting significant economic challenges, the release added.
