The Nadapuram police on Monday booked 50 identifiable persons for bursting firecrackers, causing major safety concerns for the public on Sunday.
The action was taken after a local gang allegedly obstructed traffic and created chaos in Nadapuram. Two persons who had reportedly kept firecrackers in their car sustained severe burns when the crackers went off inside the vehicle. They were admitted to a private hospital at Vadakara on Sunday.
