Ranchi: Chakradharpur and Adra divisions of Jharkhand under the South Eastern Railway (SER) achieved the highest loading performance in 2024-25 fiscal year, which ended on Monday, the SER said in a statement on Tuesday.
While Chakradharpur division has loaded 154.04 million tonnes, which is 3.25% more than that in the last financial year, Adra division loaded 29.12 million tonnes, 4.16% more than that in the last fiscal, the SER added.
"The SER recorded freight loading of 212.37 million tonnes, a growth of 0.36% in freight loading, in the 2024-25 financial year. This is the best performance of SER," it added.
In terms of revenue generation from freight loading, SER raked in Rs 18,949.83cr during 2024-25. Other SER milestones included best ever loading in a day (March, 31) to the tune of 1.78 million tonnes, 30.9% more than the earlier best, fastest 200 million tonnes loading in 349 days, best ever coal loading (55.56 million tonnes), 4.23% more than the last financial year.
