VE Commercial Vehicles Achieves 7.6% Sales Growth in March 2025

VECV reports a 7.6% sales increase in March 2025, reaching 12,094 units. Eicher brand saw a 7.9% rise, while Volvo sales dipped 5.5%. Strong export growth for Eicher trucks.

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, reported a 7.6% increase in sales for March 2025, reaching 12,094 units compared to 11,242 units in March 2024. This figure includes 11,852 units of Eicher brand vehicles and 242 units of Volvo brand vehicles.

In detail, Eicher branded trucks and buses recorded 11,852 units sold in March 2025, a 7.9% increase from 10,986 units in the same month the previous year. Within the domestic commercial vehicle (CV) market, Eicher’s sales stood at 11,187 units in March 2025, marking a growth of 6.3% over March 2024, which saw 10,525 units sold. On the export front, Eicher branded trucks and buses saw a significant rise of 44.3%, with 665 units sold in March 2025, compared to 461 units in March 2024.

On the other hand, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses experienced a decline in sales, with 242 units sold in March 2025, compared to 256 units in March 2024, reflecting a 5.5% decrease.

VECV, which has been operational since December 2008, operates across various sectors, including the manufacture of Eicher branded trucks and buses, exclusive distribution of Volvo Trucks in India, and engine manufacturing for the Volvo Group. The company also handles exports, non-automotive engines, and Eicher component business, continuing to contribute to the evolution of commercial transportation in India and beyond.
