Rattlesnake bite prompts Northern California firefighters to issue warning
(FOX40.COM) — Some firefighters in Northern California are warning the public to be on the lookout for rattlesnakes after a bite incident Monday morning.

Around 9:30 a.m., the Calaveras Consolidated Fire Department responded to Wimer Road near Highway 26 after a man said he was bit in the leg by a baby rattlesnake.

“Calaveras Consolidated Fire wants to remind everyone that it is that time of the year for snakes/rattlers and to watch your step,” the agency said on social media.
The man who reported the bite was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. His condition is unclear.
