No lake on land that is up for sale; no ecological damage will be done: Ponnam

Hyderabad: BC welfare minister Ponnam Prabhakar said on Monday that 400 acres of land in Gachibowli belong to the state govt, and the title was obtained through legal battles. He also mentioned that there is no lake on the land that is to be sold, and also that no ecological damage will be done. However, he added that the govt will take all concerns into account going forward.
He said the govt is committed to safeguarding the land parcels of the varsity. Meanwhile, BJP MP and Union MoS for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay criticised the Congress govt, claiming that it is far worse than the previous BRS govt. "Some female students protesting were arrested in an inhumane manner. Everyone in the state is upset, but not the Congress govt, as it lacks the funds to run the state without selling these land parcels," he said.tnn
