Keeranatham village panchayat in Coimbatore is leading the way in eradication of plastics.

In a poster, the local body exhorted the public to bring plastics and collect a cash reward of ₹10 per kg. The public can deposit the plastics at the panchayat office from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The poster also exhorted the public to join the local body in its drive to eradicate plastics and to protect the soil health.
