BJP criticises RJD’s remarks on Shah’s visit to state
Patna: BJP slammed RJD for its remarks on Union home minister and senior party neta Amit Shah's visit to Bihar. The saffron party said the RJD has no work left right now except making "wild guesses", advising it to get prepared to face the NDA in the poll arena.
The RJD on Saturday alleged that Shah was visiting Bihar as part of the party's plan to ensure a smooth "transfer of power" in Bihar. In a video released on Saturday, the RJD alleged that Shah's visit to the state is not a "coincidence" but a part of the party's well-thought strategy. "As per the ‘deal', CM Nitish Kumar has to hand over his throne to the BJP sometime after the assembly's budget session, and that time has arrived," RJD's chief spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav alleged on Saturday. He claimed that Shah's arrival to Bihar is aimed at deciding the "date of power transfer".
Reacting strongly, the BJP said that such ‘statements' are indicative of the fact that the RJD has turned hopeless. "The RJD has been reduced to a party which makes wild allegations. Instead of indulging in childish acts, it should prepare for the assembly elections," BJP spokesperson Manoj Sharma said. He said the RJD won't succeed in its attempt to create rift among NDA allies since the alliance is built on trust.
JD (U)'s national working president, Sanjay Kumar Jha, said during his two-day visit to the state, Shah would meet the CM. "Shah keeps visiting Bihar, and there is a programme related to his department in the state capital. He will also meet the CM during his visit," Jha told reporters in Patna on Saturday.
