Pune commuters can expect partial relief as one side of the Pune University Road flyover, from Bremen Circle to E-Square, will be open for traffic starting May 1, 2025. The remaining ramps towards Baner and Raj Bhavan are scheduled for completion by August 2025.
This development is set to ease congestion at one of Pune’s busiest corridors, improving traffic flow at a crucial entry point to the city. The flyover is expected to significantly reduce travel time and streamline vehicular movement in the area.
MLA Siddharth Shirole of the Shivajinagar Constituency acknowledged the efforts of contractors, authorities, engineers, and workers involved in the project. In a post on X, he expressed gratitude for their commitment to making this essential infrastructure a reality.
With the phased opening, authorities hope to gradually alleviate the traffic burden while ensuring timely completion of the remaining construction work.
