Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal on Friday aided two women injured in a road accident near Iron Bridge, Kollam. He intervened to assist Ansi (36) and Jinsi (34) after a private bus collided with their scooter. Mr. Balagopal was on his way from the district panchayat hall after a meeting to form the welcome committee for the State government’s fourth anniversary celebrations. When he found the women bleeding by the roadside, he immediately arranged for their transport to the district hospital and instructed the Kollam West police to take legal action against the bus.
