NCW chairperson hears 48women’s grievances in Saran
Chhapra: Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Vijaya Rahatkar, on Friday heard 46 grievances related to women at a programme in Saran. She said, "Shy women do not reach the NCW, so we have decided to bring the commission to their doorstep."
The chairperson looked into different cases and disposed some of them, while in some cases she directed the SSP Kumar Ashish to take appropriate action within a stipulated time.
Praising the establishment of women police stations at the district headquarters, she said, this step has provided strength to women. She asked women to be brave and feel free to raise their voices.
At the end of the programme, Saran DM Aman Samir presented a memento to the NCW chairperson. Besides, commissioner Gopal Meena, Saran DM and SSP, govt officers, complainants and their investigating officers were present
