IIT JEE exam is considered one of the toughest exams not only in India but all over the world. Every year, lakhs of students appear for IIT-JEE exam to get admission in IIT. But, only a few lucky and talented students are able to pass this exam. Many students appear for IIT-JEE exam multiple times. Such is the story of Satvat Jaggi who secured the first rank in IIT-JEE exam and took admission in IIT Bombay, but left IIT Bombay after two years.
Satvat Jagwani secured the first rank in the JEE Advanced exam in 2015 and got admission in IIT Bombay. Many people were surprised by Satvat’s decision to leave IIT Bombay. But he was not the first IIT-JEE topper who has left IIT Bombay and took admission in MIT.
Not the first student to drop out of IIT
Chitrang Muria, who secured the first rank in the JEE Advanced exam in 2014, also dropped out of IIT Bombay. Chitrang had taken admission in Computer Science at IIT Bombay, but later he got a degree in Physics from MIT.
Satvat, left his B.Tech course at IIT to join Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). MIT is considered to be the most renowned and prestigious engineering institute in the world which is located in America. After securing the first rank in IIT-JEE, Satvat created a YouTube channel and Quora profile. Here he used to teach programming and answer questions of IIT aspirants.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Satvat completed his graduation in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT in the year 2020. Satvat has also obtained a master’s degree from MIT.
Currently, Satvat is working as a software development engineer. He is employed at an American software company named Cadence Design Systems. Cadence Design Systems was started by an IIT alumnus in the year 2021.
