Akhilesh criticizes BJP’s governance
Kanpur: On Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's comments on Hindu-Muslim unity, Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav questioned the stability of Yogi's position on Wednesday. While addressing a public gathering in Kannauj he remarked, "Is Yogi Adityanath's position in jeopardy, which is why he is speaking about Hindu-Muslim harmony?"
On his skullcap, Akhilesh said, "I've been wearing this cap since Netaji gave it to me. I'm not one of those who change caps. Search Google and you will surely discover who is the leader that changes caps the most."
Speaking about the SP's ideological foundation, Akhilesh said, "We are following the path shown by Lohia Ji and Neta Ji (Mulayam Singh Yadav)."
He also commented on free liquor issue and said, "This is Yogi Ji's party time. What plan did BJP bring during Navratri? Buy one bottle, get one free." Akhilesh challenged the BJP's eight-year achievements celebration, highlighting corruption concerns. "They are highlighting the achievements of these eight years, but there was never so much corruption and loot," he stated, adding, "During these eight years, the Uttar Pradesh police were sent to arrest their own IAS officer. This is the first time in the country's history that a govt is showcasing its eight-year achievements while an officer went underground."
Akhilesh noted internal dissent within the ruling BJP govt, citing examples of MLAs expressing discontent. "One legislator is saying that Baba should now be sent from Uttar Pradesh. Another legislator claims that corruption and looting are rampant," he observed.
He questioned their constitutional amendments, particularly regarding Anglo-Indian reservations.
