Banaras rly station retiring rooms get top-class facilities
Varanasi: Having already been recognised as the cleanest station of North Eastern Railway, the Banaras railway station is now equipped with world-class stay facilities.
The NER's divisional railway manager (Varanasi), Vineet Kumar Srivastava, said the refurbished retiring rooms at BSBS station were handed over to IRCTC in January for renovation and beautification to ensure world-class accommodation facilities.
All five rooms and one dormitory are now renovated and their booking and operations would be managed by IRCTC.
Initially, the dormitory had 13 beds, said the division's spokesman, Ashok Kumar, adding that they had been converted into fully air-conditioned cabins. The dormitory has charging points, mirrors and separate locking arrangements.
The alley with the reception counter was also renovated and beautified. Each retiring room, with all advanced facilities for a comfortable stay, is ready to provide a pleasant experience for guests, said the railway spokesperson.
