Realtor held for duping constable of Rs 18.6L
Bhubaneswar: Police on Monday arrested a realtor for allegedly defrauding a constable of a central paramilitary force of Rs 18.65 lakh in a property deal. Police identified the accused as Norotam Mohanty, a resident of Balasore district.
Complainant Uma Panigrahy, who is posted in Chhattisgarh, alleged that he paid the money to Mohanty to purchase a flat a few years ago in Tamando area here. "The complainant came across some irregularities in the construction and declined to purchase the flat. When he demanded a refund, Mohanty ignored him," a police officer said.TNN
