World Tuberculosis Day observed in Dindigul

A rally was held in Dindigul to create awareness of tuberculosis on World TB Day on Monday.

Collector S. Saravanan flagged off the event at the Government Medical College Hospital in the presence of Dean R. Suganthy Rajakumari and other senior doctors. Government and private college nursing students participated. They carried banners and placards on awareness of tuberculosis.

School students trained in skating also participated in the event.

The procession was taken out from Dindigul Government Medical College Hospital. After passing via the head post office, bus stand and flower market, the participants reached the hospital premises. A signature campaign was held. Sports and cultural events were also held as part of the event.
