Kareelakulangara police station to get new building

The State government has accorded administrative sanction for the construction of a new building for Kareelakulangara police station. It will be constructed at a cost of ₹3 crore.

U. Prathibha, MLA, said the fund was allocated under the State Plan Fund 2024-25. The facility will be constructed by the Public Works Department (Buildings Division). The Alappuzha Co-operative Spinning Mill has handed over 25 cents of land to the Home department for the construction of the new building.

The police station has been functioning in a rented building for several years.
