Job fairs connect 168 with top cos

Lucknow: Under the ‘Mission Rozgar' initiative, the state govt organised a ‘Rozgar Mela' at the govt ITI in Aliganj on Saturday, where five companies participated and provided job offers to 73 candidates.
Another such fair was organised at the Govt Polytechnic, where 95 candidates from six polytechnic institutes in the state received job offers.
In the ITI fair, companies such as Pedgate Electronics Pvt Ltd from Noida, Discon Electro Appliances Pvt Ltd from Noida, Preet Group Ltd from Punjab and Elentec India Ltd from Noida conducted interviews and selected candidates. They offered salaries from Rs 19,000 to Rs 30,000 per month, along with additional benefits.
Meanwhile, at the Govt Polytechnic, Maruti conducted a campus drive where 150 candidates participated, and 95 were offered jobs.
Training, counselling & placement officer at ITI, MA Khan said that the goal of ‘Mission Rozgar' is to provide jobs based on the skills of young candidates while ensuring industries get a skilled workforce. The rozgar melas have been an effective step in connecting youth with top private companies, he said.
