National under-23 basketball | Karnataka men, women in semifinals

Karnataka men and women won their respective quarterfinal matches to reach the semifinals of the National under-23 basketball championships at the Sarusajai Indoor Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday.

The results: Quarterfinals: Men: Rajasthan 86 (Akshit Hooda 21, Lokesh Kumar Sharma 17, Ayush Choudhary 16) bt Kerala 61 (Jerome Prince 21, Prithin Murali 17); Karnataka 81 (Manoj B.M. 23, Gautham P.K. 22, Aswiji Vashist 16) bt Madhya Pradesh 73 (Hemant Naik 19, Rakesh Sharma 17); Haryana 92 (Rahul 22, Rajan 19) bt Tamil Nadu 79 (Ajay 19, Vijaykumar S. 16).

Women: Kerala 79 (Akshaya Philip 20) bt Chandigarh 21; Delhi 73 (Rashi Kotan 23, Krithika Dhingra 17) bt Chhattisgarh 61 (Urvashi D. 13); Tamil Nadu 92 (Krithika Suresh Babu 16, Harima Sundari 16) bt Uttar Pradesh 37; Karnataka 71 (Sathya K. 21, Mekhala Gowda 19) bt Maharashtra 69 (Siya Dheidhar 18).
