41st Rajasthan State Contract Bridge Championship to start from March 22 at the Jaipur Club

Jaipur: The 41st Rajasthan State Contract Bridge Championship will be held on March 22 and 23 here at the Jaipur Club. Around 20 teams will participate in the two-day competition, including Rajputana, the winner of the Team of Four events.
Rajasthan Sports Council president Dr Neeraj Kumar Pawan will inaugurate the tourney on Saturday at 9.30 am. Jaipur Club president Manoj Birla and secretary Vishal Kaushal will also be present on the occasion.
Competition organising secretary PK Aggarwal said here on Friday that there will be a Team of Four event for the TC Agarwal Trophy, while a pair event will be held for the BN Toshniwal Trophy.
For the first time, the team of Geological Survey of India, Jaipur is also participating in the meet. The defending champions Rajputana team includes KP Mathur, NK Sharma, Som Mittal, Anand Toshniwal, Puneet Gangal and SK Sharma.
Agarwal informed that tournament director Sukrit Vijaykar has reached Jaipur. Chetan Rawal of Mumbai will take care of the technical aspects.
Agarwal said that the prominent players in the tournament include Ravi Bhargav from Kota, Pradeep Govil from Bikaner, Dinesh Galundia from Udaipur and Paras Surana from Bhilwara. Among the women players, Sushma Aggarwal, Suniti Rathore and Pushpa Mehta will vie for the top honours.
