New Delhi: There is a significant update for passengers traveling from Gorakhpur to Kanpur. Due to engineering work on the Ganga Bridge, the traffic and power blocks have been rescheduled. It is important to note that the Ganga Bridge falls under the Lucknow division of the Northern Railway before Kanpur Central. As a result, more than two dozen trains will be affected and rerouted.
NER’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Pankaj Kumar Singh, informed that Train No. 12595 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Express, scheduled to run from Gorakhpur on March 20, 24, 25, 27, and 31, as well as on April 1, 3, 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 24, 28, and 29, will operate via a diverted route.
It is important to note that instead of its regular route through Lucknow-Kanpur Central-Ghaziabad, the train will run via the changed route of Lucknow-Alamnagar-Moradabad-Ghaziabad.
Here are some of the key details:
Train No. 12595 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Express, scheduled to run from Gorakhpur on March 20, 24, 25, 27, and 31, as well as on April 1, 3, 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 24, 28, and 29, will operate via a diverted route.
The 12571 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Express, scheduled to run on March 21, 22, 23, 26, 28, 29, and 30, as well as April 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12, 13, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23, 25, 26, and 27, will operate via the diverted route of Lucknow-Alamnagar-Moradabad-Ghaziabad instead of its usual route via Lucknow-Kanpur Central-Ghaziabad.
The 19410 Gorakhpur-Sabarmati Express, scheduled to run on March 22, 24, 29, and 31, as well as April 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, and 28, will operate via the diverted route of Budhwal-Sitapur City-Shahjahanpur-Kasganj instead of its usual route via Budhwal-Lucknow-Kanpur Central-Kasganj.
The 22922 Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus Express, scheduled to run on March 25 and April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, will also operate via the diverted route of Budhwal-Sitapur City-Shahjahanpur-Kasganj instead of its usual route via Budhwal-Lucknow-Kanpur Central-Kasganj.
The following trains will run on a diverted route via Gorakhpur–Ayodhya Dham–Pratapgarh Jn.–Prayagraj Jn.–Kanpur Central instead of the scheduled route via Gorakhpur–Aishbagh–Kanpur Central:
12511 Gorakhpur–Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) Express on March 20, 21, 23, 27, 28, and 30, and on April 03, 04, 06, 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 20, 24, 25, and 27.
12521 Barauni–Ernakulam Express on March 24 and 31, and on April 07, 14, 21, and 28.
12589 Gorakhpur–Secunderabad Express on March 26 and on April 02, 09, 16, 23, and 30.
12591 Gorakhpur–Yesvantpur Express on March 22 and 29, and on April 05, 12, 19, and 26.
15023 Gorakhpur–Yesvantpur Express on March 25 and on April 01, 08, 15, 22, and 29.
15065 Gorakhpur–Panvel Express on March 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30, and 31, and on April 01, 03, 04, 06, 07, 08, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 27, 28, and 29.

The 11124 Barauni-Gwalior Express, departing from Barauni, will run via a changed route until April 29. Instead of its scheduled route through Chhapra-Gorakhpur-Lucknow-Kanpur Central, it will now operate via Chhapra-Varanasi City-Varanasi Junction-Prayagraj Rambagh-Prayagraj Junction-Kanpur Central.
Due to this route change, the train will not stop at the following stations: Ekma, Siwan, Mairwa, Bhatpar Rani, Bhatni, Deoria Sadar, Gorakhpur, Sahjanwa, Khalilabad, Basti, Babhna, Maskanwa, Mankapur, Gonda, Karnailganj, Budhwal, Barabanki, Lucknow, and Unnao.
