The actress was Pervien Dastur. Maine Pyar Kiya marked Pervien Dastur’s debut, and she started her acting journey with a grey-shaded role. Despite being part of one of the biggest hits, the actress stepped away from the industry.
Pervien was born in Mumbai and had no connections to the Bollywood world. She started her journey with modeling. During her modeling days, she was spotted by a director who asked her to audition. Her audition impressed the director, and that’s when Pervien’s journey in Bollywood began.
The former actress featured in many plays starring Naseeruddin Shah and Pearl Padamsee. After that, she appeared in the 1989 film Maine Pyar Kiya.
After Maine Pyar Kiya, Pervien was initially approached for Salman Khan’s Sooryavanshi (1992), but the role eventually went to Amrita Singh. She was also signed for Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke opposite Aamir Khan but chose to leave the film to pursue a career as an air hostess.
Coming to Pervien’s personal life, she married Shahrukh Sirus Irani and was blessed with two kids. The actress left the industry and today works as a hairstylist.
