Two undergraduate students of a government college were killed in a road accident at Puthur in Mayiladuthurai district on Thursday. The police gave the names of the victims as B. Selvam, 20, and R. Bhuvanesh, 23, who were third year BBA students of Government Arts and Science College, Puthur.
They were riding a motorcycle to the college in the morning when their vehicle and a lorry collided head-on. While Selvam died on the spot, Bhuvanesh died in the Government Hospital, Sirkazhi. The lorry driver fled the spot. The Anaikaranchatram police are investigating, said police sources.
