Baramati: With only 13 days left for the financial year to end, Mahavitaran has set a target of recovering ₹204 crore during this period. Engineers and linemen have been assigned specific recovery goals, and employees have been instructed to disconnect power supply for non-payment.

Chief Engineer of Mahavitaran’s Baramati division, Dharamraj Pethkar, urged consumers to cooperate by promptly paying their outstanding and current electricity bills to avoid inconvenience.

The division has ₹112 crore in pending dues from domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers under the low-tension category. Additionally, the current month’s billing demand stands at ₹257.53 crore, bringing the total recovery target for March to ₹369.46 crore.

So far, only ₹166 crore has been recovered in 18 days, which is 44.93% of the total target. To achieve the remaining ₹204 crore, Mahavitaran has formed teams to monitor daily collections.
