Rain Alert in 13 Districts of Madhya Pradesh, Weather System to Stay Active for Next Three Days

Bhopal, March 19 – A fresh spell of weather change is set to impact Madhya Pradesh, bringing relief from rising temperatures with anticipated rainfall across multiple regions. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light showers are expected today in 13 districts, including Jabalpur and Mandla. Additionally, Bhopal, Gwalior, Rewa, Shahdol, Chambal, and Sagar divisions are likely to experience thunderstorms, strong winds, and heavy rain on March 20-21, with wind speeds reaching 40 to 50 km per hour.

Weather System to Remain Active Until March 22

The changing weather is being influenced by a western disturbance and trough, which has resulted in a drop in daytime temperatures. Since March 14, light rain has been observed in some parts of the state. After a brief two-day break, rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are set to return from March 19 onwards.

Districts Likely to Experience Rain on March 19:

From March 19 to March 21, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa, Sagar, and Shahdol divisions will experience intense weather conditions, while Indore, Ujjain, and Narmadapuram divisions are expected to remain dry.

Strong Winds to Accompany Rainfall

On March 20 and 21, wind speeds are predicted to increase significantly. While normal wind speeds range between 10-12 km per hour, they could rise up to 30-50 km per hour during this period.
