Mysuru ZP CEO inspects facilities in tribal hadis, schools in Hunsur taluk

Mysuru Zilla Panchayat CEO S. Ukesh Kumar conducted an extensive inspection of tribal hadis and government facilities in Dodda Hejjur, Kirangur, and Ummathur Gram Panchayat limits in Hunsur taluk on Wednesday.

During the visit, Mr. Kumar interacted with the residents, listened to their grievances, and held discussions with local officials to assess the status of ongoing development projects and grievance redressal.

At Dodda Hejjur GP, Mr. Kumar inquired about the delay in making the solid waste treatment plant operational. He sought detailed information from the Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) and the GP president regarding the status of the plant. Additionally, he reviewed the revenue collection details within the GP limits and emphasised the need for improving collection efficiency.

Mr. Kumar visited the government higher primary school in Dodda Hejjur village, where he inspected the ongoing construction of toilets funded under the 15th Finance Commission. He also assessed the overall facilities provided to the children and instructed officials to ensure the timely completion of the work.

At Shankarapura Haadi in Kirangur GP, he received multiple grievances from the local residents. The village residents highlighted the urgent need for housing and submitted a memorandum requesting the sanction of sites for the construction of houses.

Mr. Kumar later visited the Ashram school and government school at Nallur Pala Haadi in Ummathur GP. He expressed concern over the delay in payment of salaries to contract teachers and instructed the authorities to address the issue on time. He issued directions to the PDO regarding the construction of toilets on the school premises under MGNREGA and stressed the need for improving infrastructure facilities in the schools.
