The residents of Thottanampatti in Dindigul district have urged the authorities to shift a high tension power line. The power line was being set up to provide connection to a private firm in the area, they said.

In their petition to Dindigul Collector, the residents said that the high tension power line was being set up along the Thottanampatti - Thenampettai stretch. There were about 500 families in the area and the power line would be passing over the residential area. There was also a waterbody in the area, they said and urged the authorities to shift the high tension power line to an alternative route.
