Stray dogs attack five-year-old girl in Belagavi

Belagavi: Three stray dogs attacked a five-year-old girl in Ganeshpur, Belagavi, and dragged her on the road on Sunday evening. Severely injured, the girl was admitted to the district hospital and is undergoing treatment. Pravinya Boyer, aged 5, is the girl who was attacked by dogs. Hospital sources said that the child was bitten on her stomach, back, and legs by stray dogs, and is being treated in the ICU of BIMS Hospital. According to the residents of Ganeshpur, a seven-year-old boy was attacked by stray dogs in the same colony on Saturday. Despite appealing to the Belagavi City Corporation to address the menace of dogs, there was no avail. The parents of the children expressed their anger that the negligence of the authorities continues. The BCC health officer refused to comment on the issue.
