Lucknow: At least 20 people were arrested in various incidents of clashes during Holi revelry across the city on Friday.
Incidents of violence were reported from Para, Krishna Nagar (Sector D), Thakurganj, Malihabad, Mahingwa, and Nagaram.
In Hazratganj, a drunk driver crashed into the official vehicle of ADCP, Central Zone, Manisha Singh, leaving her and her staff with minor injuries. The driver, who was later arrested, was identified as Rahul Yadav.
In Para, a group of 21 drunken men, led by Shanu, assaulted an Air Force personnel Saket Srivastava and his family. Para police lodged an FIR against 21 individuals.
In Krishna Nagar, a man, Kripashankar, reported that while heading to his village with his family, they were stopped by Dipu, Sonu, Rakesh, and 20 others who assaulting their driver, Anshu.
In Thakurganj's Nivajganj area, a man, Sagar Singh, alleged that his younger brother Rishabh was forcibly dragged and attacked by their neighbour Annu and his son Tushar, who attempted to smear him with Holi colours.
In Malihabad's Kallu Kheda village, Ved Prakash and Pintu were allegedly assaulted by Sanjay, Sandeep, and Raju during Holi celebrations.
Similarly, in Mahingwa's Dingurpur village, a dispute over loud music during Holi celebrations led to a clash.
