Cops nab 31 drunk drivers, make them vow to quit intoxication

Vadodara: City police arrested 31 persons in a drive to catch those driving while drunk. The accused were made to take an oath that they would quit intoxication and follow traffic rules.
City police organized the drive as part of a road safety initiative. It came one day after the road accident that killed one person and injured seven in Karelibaug. It also coincided with Holi festivities.
Those driving vehicles while drunk were caught in various police stations jurisdictions. They were gathered in the open space near the crime branch office and administered the oath. They were also given an understanding of the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
