2 killed, 1 injured after car overturns in Farrukhabad
Kanpur: Two youths died and another suffered critical injuries as their out-of-control car overturned in the Kampil police station area in Farrukhabad district on Sunday.
The injured, Anmol Rathore (24), a resident of Badora village in Kasganj, was taken to a private hospital in Farrukhabad by his family while Pranjal Rathore (19), a resident of Sikandarpur Vaishya in Kasganj district, and his cousin Saksham Tomar (18) from Mayur Vihar, Etah, were brought to CHC Kayamganj, where doctors declared them dead.
According to reports, Saurabh Tomar's 18-year-old son, Saksham Tomar, a resident of Mayur Vihar Peepal Adda in Etah district, came to his maternal grandparents' home in Baraula village, Sikandarpur Vaishya, to attend a Sunderkand recitation on Saturday.
On Sunday, Saksham, along with his cousins Pranjal Rathore and Anmol Rathore (23), was travelling by car to Gujarpur village in the Kampil area to their relatives' place. Near the Bagrai Gaushala at the Kampil-Patiyali border, their speeding car lost control and overturned into a ditch.
After the accident, local villagers arrived at the scene and rescued the three young men trapped in the car. Upon receiving the information, SO Kampil Vishwanath Arya and sub-inspector Pramod Kumar arrived with their team, and took the critically injured Saksham and Pranjal to the Community Health Centre in Kayamganj in the S-I's private car, where the doctor on duty declared both men dead. Meanwhile, the third seriously injured, Anmol, was taken to Farrukhabad by his family, where his condition remains critical.
Deceased Pranjal was a 12th-grade student studying in Kanpur, while Saksham was an 11th-grade student in Etah. The police completed the formalities and sent the bodies of the two men for post-mortem examination.
