Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham to launch RISE 2025

Amrita Career Success Forum attached to the Directorate of Admissions, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, will start off with its RISE 2025 (Roadmap to Innovation Success and Excellence)—a half-day career guidance programme — aimed at providing aspiring engineers with insights into future-ready careers, at Amrita School of Engineering, Ettimadai, on March 20. The programme will be conducted across 37 cities in 13 States till April 20, 2025, a press release said.

CII holds interactive session on logistics sector

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), through its Institute of Logistics, organised an interactive session in Coimbatore recently to guide youngsters on career opportunities in the logistics sector. India’s logistics sector is poised for exponential growth, driven by the expansion of e-commerce, manufacturing, and Global Capability Centres (GCCs). This rapid transformation is expected to generate 1.5 to 1.7 crore jobs within India by 2030.

K.V. Mahidhar, Executive Director and Head of CII-Institute of Logistics, said since logistics serves as a key enabler for manufacturing and agriculture through efficient storage and transportation services, the need for a highly skilled workforce is paramount. Managing the complexities of both domestic and global supply chains with higher efficiency requires specialised training.

Nominations open for Excellent Educator Awards

The AJK Group of Institutions in Coimbatore will present the Excellent Educator Awards on April 6, recognising contributions by institutions, principals, and teachers in instructional excellence, innovative pedagogy, and creativity in education. Awards will be presented across categories for teachers, schools, and principals. Nominations require a detailed description of achievements, supported by testimonials, awards, and statistics. Forms must be submitted on official letterheads with accurate details. Entries can be sent via post or email (ajkeduawards@ajkcas.com) by March 29.
