A roadside eatery set up by a differently abled man on Kannur-Koothuparamba road was allegedly vandalised just a day before its inauguration, on Tuesday.

The shop, owned by Abdul Rasheed of Kinavakkal, was reportedly attacked by two masked men around 2 a.m. The miscreants remain unidentified.

Rasheed, who has limited mobility due to polio, had reportedly set up the eatery with the help of his friends. The loss was estimated at approximately ₹2.5 lakh.

The Koothuparamba police have launched an investigation.
