Teacher found hanging in his house ; probe begins
Kanpur: A primary school teacher's lifeless body was found hanging from a rope at a third-floor room at his house in Jarauli, Phase-2, within the limits of Gujaini police station on Tuesday morning.
Upon being informed by neighbours, the police and a forensic team reached the spot to conduct an investigation. Later the body was sent for a post-mortem examination. The family was unable to identify any cause for the tragic incident.
Rajveer Kureel, 40, originally from Bajraha Purwa village in Malon, Chaubepur, lived in Jarauli Phase-2, Gujaini and was a teacher at a primary school in Maitha, Kanpur Dehat. According to his elder brother Jaideep, Rajveer was the middle child amongst three brothers, with Sunil being the youngest. His spouse Urvashi is employed as a cashier at the State Bank of India's Bada Chauraha branch. The couple had two children—a 9-year-old son, Aryan, and a 9-month-old daughter, Vaishnavi.
On Monday, as usual Rajveer went to school and returned home in the evening. He had dinner with his family before retiring to bed. Not finding him in the room on Tuesday morning, his wife searched for him and attempted to call him on his mobile phone which was found in the room. During her search, she discovered his body hanging from the ceiling fan hook in the third-floor room.
In-charge Gujaini police station Vinay Tiwari said that the family could neither explain the reason for the suicide nor was any suicide note recovered during the investigation. Moreover, the family has not levelled accusations against anyone, Tiwari said. tnn
