Jaipur: The director of International Kabaddi Federation and president of Rajasthan Kabaddi Association, Tejasvi Singh Gehlot felicitated the triumphant Indian women's kabaddi team on Tuesday.
India won the sixth edition of the Asian Women's Kabaddi Championship 2025 title in Tehran, Iran, with a 32-25 victory over the hosts in the final on March 8. Rajasthan's sharp raider Nidhi Sharma was also included in the Indian women's team.
Tejasvi Singh Gehlot accorded a grand welcome and honoured the victorious Indian women's kabaddi. India's dominance in kabaddi continued as they created history by defeating the hosts team Iran by showcasing their extraordinary ability to emerge as champions for the sixth successive time.
Tejasvi Singh Gehlot praised the capability and accomplishment of the Indian women's team and gave them a warm welcome. He said that this victory of the Indian women's Kabaddi team is a proud moment not only in the sports world but in the entire country.
