Guwahati DIPR office vandalised, probe on

Guwahati: Office of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), situated in the Dispur Last Gate area, was vandalised by unidentified miscreants on Saturday night, police officials said.
Bhaskar Malla Patowary, the officer-in-charge of Dispur police station, said the perpetrators forcibly broke the entrance door to gain access to the premises. While they rummaged through official documents, no valuable item was reported missing. "We received information late at night and searched the office. However, we did not find anything missing, only a few damages," he said.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the motive behind the break-in. They are also reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify the culprits.
