Bhilwara: The Bhilwara police conducted a major operation against illegal sand mining in the Banas River passing through Bhilwara district. During a raid Sunday, they seized 38 vehicles and arrested three youths involved in surveillance. Bhilwara SP Dharmendra Singh stated that a special campaign is being conducted to curb illegal sand mining, transportation, and storage in the district.
Under the leadership of probationary IPS officer Jatin Jain, teams from Mangrop, Hamirgarh, and Sadar police stations in Bhilwara were formed. These teams, constituted by Bhilwara SP, took effective action against illegal sand mining, storage, and transportation. They raided near Kalundia and Dhagdas villages in the Mangrop police station area along the Banas River.
During this operation, they seized a total of 38 vehicles, including seven excavators, two JCB machines, seven trailers, 14 dumpers, two tractor trolleys, two luxury cars, and four motorcycles. Three persons were also arrested
